Below is a list of resources for how you can help storm victims.
How you can help:
Various non-profit organizations are accepting monetary donations to help the victims of the storm, including those here in Northeast Ohio.
You can make a $10 donation to the following via text message. Your carrier will charge the donations to your next bill.
- REDCROSS to 90999 to support the American Red Cross
- STORM to 80888 to give to the Salvation Army
- HUMANE to 80888 for the American Humane Association
- RECOVERY to 52000 for the United Way Sandy Recovery Fund
Donate Blood:
Superstorm Sandy forced the cancelation of 3 blood drives in Northeast Ohio. Now that the storm has passed the Red Cross is asking eligible donors to give.
Call 1-800-RED-CROSS visit http://www.redcross.org to make an appointment or for more information.
