Associated PressCHARDON -- A judge has agreed to delay the trial in the Chardon High School shootings.
T.J. Lane, 18, was scheduled to stand trial for the deaths of three students on Jan. 14.
In granting the delay, the judge set no new trial date. Instead, Judge David Fuhry and attorneys will meet later this month to discuss a new trial date.
The motion for a continuance was sought jointly by both the prosecution and defense and filed last week.
Prosecutors say Lane took a .22-caliber pistol and a knife to Chardon High School last Feb. 27 and fired 10 shots at a group of students sitting at a cafeteria table. Three were killed and three others were wounded.
