Grafton Twp: Pond rescue underway

GRAFTON TOWNSHIP --  Emergency crews rushed to rescue one man after he drove into a pond Saturday morning. 

The man now identified as 18-year-old Dominic Zunis, was rescued and was transported by LifeFlight to MetroHealth Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

According to troopers on scene say Zunis ran a stop sign on State Route 57 and Mennell Road. That's when he completely submerged his car in a slightly frozen pond.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says Zunis was the only person in the car at the time of the accident. 

Alcohol is suspected in this accident.
