Summit County: Two bodies discovered in Tallmadge

TALLMADGE -- Remains found near a Tallmadge home have not been identified, but police are looking at a missings persons case in connection to the discovery.

Lt. Ron Williams tells Channel 3 News that Wendy Ralston and her five-year-old son were reported missing August 7. Ralston lived near Stone Creek Drive, where the bodies were located.

The Summit County Medical Examiner will perform autopsies on the remains of two bodies that were found in a wooded area in Tallmadge.

Lt. Williams said the bodies were badly decomposed, appearing to have been in the area for two weeks before they were discovered.

Police say the bodies were discovered Saturday in the 500 block of Stone Creek Drive.

Police did not speculate on the cause of death but said they were called by a woman who went to the house to check up on her daughter.

Neither victim's identity has been determined.

Officers had a home taped off on Stone Creek Drive early Monday morning.
