Cleveland weather: Late-day sunshine

Today started out very cloudy and dreary, but don't fear, more sun is near.

High pressure is continuing to push in from the west. As it does so, the clouds across our area will continue to break up and allow for sun late in the afternoon.

This evening and toward the overnight, this area of high pressure will bring mostly clear and cool conditions to the area. This will also set the stage for a bright and sunny Wednesday.

On Thursday, another weak front pushes through, keep temperatures cool, but warmer weather returns for Friday and the weekend.

This afternoon: Mostly cloudy start to the afternoon. More sun late in the day. Upper 60s, low 70s.

Tonight: Mostly clear, cool with light winds. Mid 50s. Winds: WNW 5-10 mph

Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Upper 70s

Thursday: Mostly sunny and cool.  Near 70

Friday: Sunny and warmer. Upper 70s

Saturday: Partly sunny and warm. Low 80s

Sunday: Partly cloudy with isolated storms. Low 80s

Monday: Partly sunny. Low 80s
