Ohio Poll: Race for president too close to call

The final Ohio Poll before Election Day shows the race for President in Ohio is too close to call.

The poll shows President Barack Obama with 50 percent to 48.5 percent for Republican challenger, Mitt Romney. The results are a statistical tie because the poll as a margin of error of plus or minus 3.3 percent.

The Institute for Policy Research at the University of Cincinnati conducted the poll. More than 900 probable voters took part in the poll between October 31 and November 4.

The poll also finds the Senate race between Sen. Sherrod Brown and Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel to be close. The poll shows 50.6 percent support for Brown versus 46.8 percent for Mandel. Independent candidate, Scott Rupert has 2.6 percent support, according to the poll.
