SUMMIT COUNTY - A call for a downed power line and a traffic stop led Summit County Sheriff's deputies to the discovery of portable meth labs in two separate locations.

On December 4 at 11 p.m., deputies were called to the 2900 block of South Main Street in Coventry Township for a downed power line near Lakeside Elementary School.

When the deputy arrived he noticed a bottle on the roadway with smoke coming out of it. Further investigation revealed the bottle to be a so-called "one-pot" meth lab. The area was evacuated as a result until the bottle was removed.

In a separate incident, a December 5 traffic stop on South Main Street in Akron led to the discovery of a 20 oz. soda bottle that deputies suspected of being a possible meth lab.

The occupants of the car were arrested and charged with illegal manufacture of drugs. Both are in the Summit County Jail.
