After taking the first two games of a four-game set, the Detroit Tigers will try to make it three straight wins against the American League Central-rival Cleveland Indians on Sunday.

Though both of these teams are battling at the top of the AL Central, the Tigers have looked dominant after the first two games of this series. After rolling to a 7-0 win on Friday night, the Tigers were able to capture a relatively easy 9-4 victory in Saturday's second game.

Miguel Cabrera was 1-for-4 with his lone hit a two-run home run in the third inning. Prince Fielder followed Cabrera's blast with a home run of his own. It was also his only hit of the ballgame. Torii Hunter went 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI for the Tigers, who have won five straight and sit 3 1/2 games ahead of the Tribe.

Anibal Sanchez was solid in his first start since coming off the DL for the Tigers. The right-hander lasted five innings and allowed just a single run while striking out four in his first start since June 15. Detroit has won eight of 10 meetings with Cleveland this season.

Carlos Carrasco, who was a late choice to get the start for Cleveland, allowed 10 hits and seven runs, six unearned, over just 3 1/3 innings of work as he fell to 0-4. Nick Swisher went 2-for-3 with a home run and Ryan Raburn launched a two-run homer for Cleveland, which has dropped four straight.

Doug Fister did not have a strong start to the month of July but he will try to remedy that when he gets the start for the Tigers on Sunday. On Tuesday, Fister allowed a season-high six runs on seven hits while lasting six innings against Toronto. It was the second time in the last three starts he has allowed six runs in a start.

Fister still has an overall record above .500 (6-5) while his ERA sits at a solid 3.80. The right-hander has pitched in 109 total innings and struck out 84 batters as well. Fister has yet to make a start against the Indians in the 2013 season. In his career, Fister has made 12 starts against the Indians, which is more than he has made against any other opponent. In those 12 starts, he is 5-3 with an ERA of 2.24.

Opposing Fister on Sunday will be Corey Kluber. Though his numbers have not been flashy, Kluber has been solid for Cleveland this season. The right-hander owns a 6-5 record in 15 total appearances, 13 of which are starts, with an ERA of 4.33. Kluber has pitched in 81 innings and struck out 76 batters in that time. In his most recent start, Kluber managed to toss just 5 1/3 innings while allowing four runs on four hits and a pair of walks against the Royals.

Cleveland still managed to earn a 6-5 win, marking its fourth win in Kluber's last five starts. Kluber has already faced the Tigers this season. In that start on May 10, Kluber was lit up for a season-high eight runs on 11 hits while failing to get out of the fifth inning. In his career, Kluber is 1-3 with an ERA of 7.88 in five total appearances against Detroit.
